gobar is a platform that helps creators receive tips/donations, sell items, and offer memberships to supporters. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data transparently.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and secure personal information when you use our website and services (“Service”), and describes your privacy rights under applicable laws (including U.S. law and, where applicable, GDPR/UK GDPR).
We do not sell personal information for money and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, including any sensitive personal information.

Capitalized words have meanings defined below. Definitions apply in both singular and plural forms.

- With Creators (when you support them): your name/username, email, and- if needed for fulfillment- shipping address/phone; limited transaction details necessary to confirm your support. Creators are independent controllers of the data they receive and must process it lawfully.
- With Service Providers: hosting, infrastructure, analytics, customer support, authentication, communication, and payment/wallet providers you choose to use.
- With Affiliates: only where necessary for operations and subject to this Privacy Policy.
- Business transfers: as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets (your data remains subject to this Policy or a substantially similar one).
- Legal and safety: to comply with law, enforce Terms, protect rights, safety, or prevent fraud/abuse.
- Public/interactive areas: content you post publicly (including messages you choose to make public) may be visible to others.
- With your consent: for any other purpose you authorize.
We do not sell personal information for money, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Retention of Personal Data
We retain Personal Data only as long as necessary for the purposes above, including:

- Account/profile and operational data - deleted or anonymized typically within 24 months after account inactivity or closure, unless we must keep it longer (legal, security, fraud prevention).

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date and, where required, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes indicates acceptance.
